The “Mansion” at the Beethoven Männerchor is a beautiful Victorian house with ample room for all our language classes. The fenced in Biergarten allows for plenty of space for outdoor play. Their Biergarten doesn’t open up until 4pm on Saturdays, so there won’t be any conflict. Classes that fall on Beethoven’s festival days will be rescheduled for a later date.
We are excited for this new opportunity to partner with Beethoven Männerchor and its long standing German-Texan traditions.
If you haven’t met our teachers yet, you’re in for a treat. They are passionate about igniting your passion for the German language.
Here is an overview of who’s teaching what and when. Please follow the links to learn more about our teachers and classes.
Andrea will be teaching our German 1 for kids at 9:30am. At 12:00PM she will teach the A1.2 class for adults as well as the Intermediate Conversational German at 2PM.
Agnes will teach the Vorschule class at 9:30AM, German 2 for teens at 11:45AM, as well as a beginning German A1.1 class for adults at 2:00PM.
Flavia will be teaching the Beginning Conversational German Class for adults at 10:00AM, the Intermediate German for Kids at 12:00PM as well as the Advanced German for Kids at 2:00PM.
As an adult, if you don’t know any German, you would start with the A1.1 class, move to A1.2 and then A1.3 before going to A2.1. Each of these sections will take you a semester. When you’ve reached the A2 level, you can consider taking a beginning conversational class. We do not recommend taking it before you have completed all three A1 levels as you will be too frustrated due to your lack of knowledge concerning vocabulary and grammar. If you have some understanding of the German language, by all means, give it a shot. If the class has at least 4 participants, you can just drop in for a session to see if it’s a good fit for you.
Our children’s classes are grouped by age and skill levels.
We hope to see you at Beethoven!.
Classes start February 3rd!
